Immensely popular for family hotel breaks, friends and couples’ getaways, Clayton Hotel Liffey Valley was our most popular Dublin hotel in 2023. It sits next to the M50, meaning easy access and a host of things to do for families and friends. The hotel is next to Liffey Valley Shopping centre which offers a huge selection of shops, restaurants as well as a cinema and a JumpZone centre. It is also a short drive from one of Dublin’s best parks – St Catherines Park, which provides beautiful woodlands and river walks, football fields, a playground, maze and a Sunday market. Lucan village is a short drive/bus away with an array of bars, cafes and restaurants and you can also be in the city within 25mins with the nearby bus.

Sheen Falls Lodge, Kenmare, Kerry
Our favourite 5-star hotel of 2023 was the Sheen Falls Lodge and it’s easy to see why. This Kerry hotel will provide you with one of the most indulgent hotels breaks you could ask for. Sitting on the edge of Kenmare River the hotel provides a spacious room, a luxury leisure centre and spa facilities, exquisite dining and a courtesy bus to Kenmare village. The Connacht Hotel, Galway
Perhaps one of the most well-known hotels in Galway, The Connacht Hotel has been the destination of choice for couples (young and not-so-young a like) as well as families and the occasional friends groups for years. Similar to The Connacht Hotel, the Kilkenny Ormonde Hotel in Kilkenny City successfully ticks many boxes for many people. Although only added to SuperValu Getaway Breaks in March 2023, Dunboyne Castle Hotel quickly became one of our most booked hotels on the website due to offering an affordable luxury hotel break. The stylish hotel offers a selection of packages from simple Bed & Breakfast deals to their Exclusive 2 night Package which includes dinner, use of their thermal suite, coffee voucher and a shopping discount card. We’re starting 2024 with the addition of new and returning hotels for the new year.
